Market review

This week, 22 LED key stocks rose by 20, with an average weekly increase of 5.16%, and the market performed well. This week, 22 stocks such as China Can Optoelectronics (300323), Weiwei (300317), Wanrun Technology (002654) and Lehman (300162) rose more than 13% in a week, showing better growth. This week, only two stocks of Hongli Optoelectronics (300219) and Lianjian Optoelectronics (300269) fell slightly, and other stocks performed well.

This week, the high-tech LED industry index closed at 1437.4 points, with a weekly increase of 4.5%. The Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 index closed at 3197.8 points, with a weekly increase of 0.8%. The high-tech LED industry index performed better than the broader market. After the high-definition LED industry index fell sharply for the past three consecutive weeks, this week's continuation of last week's gains continued to rebound, but from the daily gains, the growth in the next two days slowed down or even negative growth. Therefore, this week's rebound may have a short-term buffer for the late decline, investors should be vigilant.

A Brief Analysis of the American Market Brands of China's LED Lighting Exports

According to the statistics of the High-tech Research Institute LED Research Institute (GGII), the export scale of China's LED lighting in 2015 reached 10.23 billion US dollars, an increase of 10.9%. At present, China's LED lighting export market is mainly concentrated in Europe, America, Japan and other countries and regions, which in turn dominates the US market.

US market position analysis

In recent years, the demand for LED lighting products in the US market has continued to grow at a high speed. According to GLII statistics, in 2015 China's LED lighting US export market grew by 42.7% year-on-year; the US export market accounted for 22.8% of China's total LED lighting exports, which was 5.1 percentage points higher than the 2014 market share. China's LED lighting exports ranks as the largest market.

The demand for LED lighting in the US market continues to grow at a high speed. On the one hand, the consumption level in the US market is high, and the price sensitivity of LED lighting products is low. On the other hand, in recent years, the cost performance of LED lighting products has continued to increase, and its energy-saving economic benefits have become more and more obvious, and market acceptance has increased rapidly. In addition, policy support, in 2007 the US government formulated a policy stipulating the ban on the use of 100W incandescent lamps by 2012; in 2014, the US government's comprehensive ban on the production and import of incandescent lamps was officially in force.

The US Department of Energy report predicts that the overall size of the US lighting market in 2016 will reach $25.1 billion. The US market is the largest overseas market for Chinese companies. It is comparable to the whole of Europe. The source of LED products imported from the United States accounts for more than 70% of China.

The “unlicensed” products account for the mainstream. In 2015, the export volume of China's LED lighting products to the US market was 957 million yuan, accounting for 41%. A total of about 500 brand products were exported to the US market. The top five brands were GE, UTILITECH, PHILIPS, IKEA and LEELITE. The top five brands accounted for 18.2% of the total, and the top 20 brands accounted for 29.4%.

Leading brand export product analysis

In 2015, the main products exported to the US market were LED bulbs, LED tubes, LED spotlights, LED garden lights, LED downlights, etc. The top five products accounted for 62.6% of exports. From the export situation of various brands, GE mainly exports LED lamps, LED wall lamps and LED nightlights. The average export price of LED tubes is 7.2 US dollars/only; UTILITECH mainly exports LED spotlights and LED bulbs, LED spotlights The average price is 3.3 US dollars / only, the average price of LED bulbs is only 1.6 US dollars / only; PHILIPS exports are mainly LED tubes and LED bulbs, the average export price is 6.7 US dollars / only and 2.1 US dollars / only Both IKEA and LEELITE are mainly exporting LED bulbs, with an average export price of $2.10/only and $2.60/only.
