Mitsubishi Chemical Media, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, which is engaged in the recording media product business, launched the "Verbatim" brand LED bulb with three levels of brightness adjustment without a dimmer in early February 2012.
The new product is equipped with a common E26 lamp socket. There are two models, which are the equivalent of a 60W incandescent bulb, and the equivalent of a 50W incandescent bulb. The total luminous flux of the existing E26 lamp 昼 white and bulb color models is 550Lm, but the new product's 昼 white version is 810Lm, and the bulb color is 730Lm. The total luminous flux refers to the amount of light that the light source emits in all directions.
The Verbatim LED bulb features a three-stage switching adjustment without the need for a dimmer. Mitsubishi Chemical Media has changed the current 100%, 60%, and 20% brightness levels to 100%, 40%, and 2.5%. If the light is turned on again within 2 seconds after lighting and turning off the light, the brightness of the light bulb is 40%, and then if it is turned off again and then lights up within 2 seconds, the brightness is 2.5%. It can be used according to different purposes, which improves convenience.
40% of the brightness can be used for anti-theft purposes when going out, and 2.5% of the brightness can be used instead of the normal light at the door or the night light when sleeping. When the white version is used with a brightness of 2.5%, the power consumption is 0.23W, and even if the lighting is continued for 10 hours, the electricity cost is only 0.05 yen. When the brightness is 100%, the power consumption is 9.2W, which is more than the 6.8W of the existing E26 lamp product. The life span is 40,000 hours.
