Solar water heater market share decline

In terms of market share, compared with the same period of last year, the market share of gas-fired water heaters rose by 2.95% to 37.0%; the storage-type electric water heaters remained the mainstream of the market, accounting for 59.3% of the market; solar water heaters decreased by 0.2%, and the market share was 0.2. %; instant hot water heaters are reduced by 0.8% to 3.5%. Zuo Yanji, the brand director of Zhongkang, believes that the reason for the slow growth of the capacity of the solar water heater market lies in its high requirements on the use of the environment and the higher average price.

Compared with domestic and foreign brands, from the perspective of retail sales, domestic brands have obvious advantages, accounting for 63.78% of the overall market; foreign brands have a 36.22% share of retail sales. Zuo Yanxi said that with the acceleration of new urbanization construction and the gradual completion of affordable housing, the demand for water heaters will continue to grow. Among them, the main market for gas-fired water heaters is in cities, and solar water heaters are mainly used in rural areas. Because of its wide applicability, electric water heaters have great market potential in both urban and rural areas.
