The latest research data of the High-tech LED Industry Research Institute (GLII) shows that the development of China's LED display market in the first half of 2013 is still showing signs of fatigue. It is expected that the growth rate of the industry's output value will be around 10%-15% in the first half of the year. The industry is developing slowly, and LED display companies are becoming more and more difficult to survive. Many companies are seeking to transform LED lighting.
However, according to GLII research, there are not many successful companies that have successfully transformed LED lighting in the industry. There are only a few companies such as Shanghai Sansi and Shenzhen Tongpu Technology.
GLII believes that for the moment, LED display companies have successfully transformed LED lighting, it is difficult! The main reason:
Funding issues
At present, the profitability of display companies is weak, and the net profit rate of enterprises is generally less than 5%, that is, enterprises with annual sales of 100 million yuan have a net profit of less than 5 million yuan. Therefore, with the exception of a few large-scale display companies, most enterprises are unable to support their transformation of LED lighting by their own funds. Enterprises often need to carry out a large amount of financing, especially for small and medium-sized display companies.
Talent technology
The original reserve talents of display companies, especially the technology, cannot be directly used by enterprises to support the transformation of LED lighting. Moreover, in the context of the rapid development of the current lighting market, if enterprises begin to cultivate talents or develop related technologies, it is obviously too late to start. Therefore, it is difficult to find all kinds of talents in a short period of time, as well as to improve related technologies and research and development capabilities, and to produce the company's own high-quality lighting products or to build their own lighting brands.
Channel development
Display enterprise transformation LED lighting, often have to re-explore all kinds of channels, develop channels and distributors and so on. However, in the context that major lighting companies have begun to focus on channel layout, how to develop channels and develop markets, and how to compete with lighting companies is also difficult.
