Net exposure of the former giant Jawbone into bankruptcy liquidation procedures

Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: Beijing time on July 7 morning news, according to the technology news site The InformaTIon reported that after years of confrontation with competitors, Jawbone, known for fitness bracelets and portable speakers, has begun to enter the liquidation process. In other words, it is time to say goodbye to Jawbone.

The InformaTIon said that after years of financial difficulties, Jawbone began the liquidation process. They allegedly sent a notice to the creditors on June 19 stating that the company had entered bankruptcy proceedings under California law.

According to people familiar with the matter, Jawbone co-founder and CEO Hosain Rahman has set up a company called Jawbone Health Hub to develop health-related hardware and software. Many Jawbone employees have joined the new company earlier this year and will serve Jawbone equipment in the future.

Jawbone declined to comment.

The company has been working hard against companies like Apple and Fitbit. Last year, it was reported that Jawbone plans to sell its Jambox speaker business, and they also cut 15% of the global layoffs in November 2015.

Jawbone also participated in a series of lawsuits against Fitbit, accusing the latter of stealing its trade secrets through corner employees. In October 2015, a San Francisco judge ruled that five employees at Fitbit returned the confidential information they took away from Jawbone's departure to Jawbone.
