The lab is located in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park and covers an area of ​​about 300 square meters. It is designed to provide comprehensive technical support and customer service to LCD manufacturers in the Chinese market.
Adhering to the innovative concept, Merck has developed and applied for a number of patents for liquid crystal technology, maintaining the leading level of liquid crystal technology. The new liquid crystal material laboratory will use Merck's global research and development results and be equipped with the world's top optoelectronic equipment, which can accurately analyze and test the characteristics and faults of LCD panels during the development stage.
Merck Group said that China will become another key market for Merck to set up a liquid crystal materials application laboratory. Previously, Merck Chemicals had similar application laboratories in its headquarters in Germany, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
