The Smart Herb Garden, developed by the Click & Grow team over a three-year period, is a design funded by Kickstarter. It is a smart home garden for people living in the city. It is equipped with LED lights to provide appropriate Light, simple design to meet the small space of urban home, it is not only planting, but also can be spiced to provide food.
The Click & Grow team designed a nanotechnology material to provide oxygen, moisture and proper nutrients at the root of the plant. The water and soil of the “Smart Herb Garden†platter are separate. The researchers collect a large amount of data, count the water, light and nutrients needed by each plant, and then create an algorithm to introduce the right amount of water into the soil every day.
The LED light on the top of the plant also provides proper illumination to create a natural light system that allows the plant to grow with sufficient light, while it requires only 6 watts of energy, and the electricity bill for a full year is only about $4-5.
