Hisense Liu Hongxin: This time, the world television breakthrough comes from China!

"‘This time, the TV breakthrough will truly come from China!’ On the afternoon of January 8th, in U.S. local time, Liu Hongxin, President of Hisense Group, once again highlighted laser television during his keynote speech on the eve of CES 2018. He emphasized that laser TV represents a groundbreaking self-revolution by Hisense in the history of global television and genuinely meets the growing demand for screen upgrades among users worldwide. According to market data, large-screen TVs (55 inches and above) have become the mainstream in consumer preferences. In China, this segment accounts for nearly 70% of total sales. While the overall color TV market remains sluggish, ultra-large TVs (75 inches and above) are experiencing rapid growth. This trend has positioned Hisense as one of the top performers globally in terms of average shipment size. Laser TV, with its ability to meet the demand for larger screens, is playing a key role in helping Hisense capture over 60% of the market for 85-inch and larger TVs in China. Liu Hongxin noted that since 2014, Hisense has consistently pushed the boundaries of laser TV technology at CES. From 100-inch 1080p to 100-inch 4K, and even to 100-inch bicolor 4K, the company has made significant progress. The evolution has included smaller sizes like 80-inch 4K and larger options such as 150-inch 4K. This fast-paced innovation is the result of continuous investment in R&D and supply chain development. At this year’s CES, Hisense showcased an impressive lineup of laser TVs, including models in 80-inch, 88-inch, 100-inch, and 150-inch sizes. Looking ahead, Liu predicted that laser TV will be the fastest-growing category in the next three years. With its technological edge and market potential, Hisense is well-positioned to lead this transformation on the global stage. He also shared a personal milestone: last year, a laser TV was delivered to a remote mountain village in Chengdu, marking a significant step in making this technology accessible to all. “A single spark can start a prairie fire,” he said, highlighting the growing momentum behind laser TV. In 2018, Hisense plans to open 100 laser TV flagship stores across China’s major cities, ensuring direct access for consumers. The company is confident that the global market will soon embrace laser TV as a revolutionary product. This time, the future of television is indeed coming from China. Please watch closely and follow Hisense's journey."
