TDK-EPC, a subsidiary of TDK Group, has now launched a complete measurement system developed by EPCOS for measuring and storing electrical parameters of three-phase low-voltage power grids. The MC7000-3 is designed to measure voltages ranging from 3 x 30 V AC to 440 V AC (LN) and 3 x 50 V AC to 690 V AC (LL) at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The maximum current of 3000A can be recorded with a clip-on meter.

In addition to measuring voltage, current, and line frequency, MC7000-3 is also used to measure reactive power, apparent power, and actual power, as well as power factor. It can also record voltage and current harmonics.

All data and readings are displayed in digital or graphical form on a 28 x 64 pixel display. The device also has an oscilloscope function. The results can be saved in the SD memory card and output or printed in Excel format. Windows-based software allows to write various functions and evaluate all data in graphical and digital form. The measured data are all assigned time stamps, ensuring excellent transparency. The meter can also measure the correction power required for a given cos phi. The results can also be simulated under different basic conditions. This makes the MC7000-3 ideally suited for the simple on-site measurement or evaluation of the performance of existing systems for customized PFC devices.

The scope of supply of the MC7000-3 includes Windows software and SD memory card (1 GB), power adapter (110V AC to 230V AC), various test leads and a sturdy plastic carrying case. The standard menu languages ​​are English, German, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
