LabVIEW Property Node Beginner Course
Most of the properties of the control can be set through the property dialog. For properties that are not included, you need to program through the property node. The attribute node is used to access the properties of the object. In some applications, you might need to programmatically make front panel objects respond to specific inputs, giving them a different look. For example, when the user enters an invalid password, the red light begins to flash. Another example is to change the color of the line on the chart. When the data point is higher than a certain value, the line you want to display is red instead of green. These modifications can be done programmatically using the property node. You can also use the property node to programmatically resize the front panel object, hide parts of the front panel, add cursors to the drawing, and more.
