Design of Card Separation Gap in Card Separation Mechanism

In the card machine, the card separation gap formed by the card separation axis at the front end of the card in the forward direction of the card and the card separation flap is the key to the separation mechanism. Changes in the gap width and relative position affect the card separation effect. The gap width should be designed to be 1.5-2.5 times the thickness of the card. If the gap width is too large, there may be multiple cards squeezed into the gap at the same time, which is easy to cause card jams.

Because the rubber wheel is easy to wear, it will cause the friction surface of the rubber wheel to change with the surface of the card. Therefore, if the design gap width is too narrow, there is no guarantee that the card can pass through the gap smoothly after a long time of operation. The relative height of the card-separating gap should also be paid attention to, because the rubber wheel is a cam mechanism, the relative height of the card will change when it is stressed, and it is difficult to guarantee a relatively stable value.

If the value of the height of the sub-card gap is higher or lower than the position of the rubber wheel, there is no guarantee that the card can pass through the gap smoothly every time.

Therefore, the height of the split card gap should be set between the short side radius and the long side radius of the rubber wheel. In order to facilitate the smooth passage of the card through the card splitting gap, the card splitter must be chamfered at the card entrance. The chamfering angle should be 35 ° -45 °. The chamfering value should not be greater than 3mm, otherwise it will cause card jams.
