Diodes Incorporated (Diodes Incorporated) Release bidirectional MOSFET DMN2023UCB4, to provide a single cell and double cell lithium battery superior protection. The low on-resistance of the DMN2023UCB4 reduces power consumption, and the slim chip-scale package allows designers to take advantage of the space saved to increase battery capacity. The target end markets for new products include smartphones, tablets, cameras, portable media players, and the same type of consumer products that are critical to their size, weight and battery life.

The RSS (on) of the DMN2023UCB4 is less than 26mΩ and is designed to reduce power consumption with the lowest on-resistance. In addition, its dual N-channel common drain configuration is especially suitable for charging circuits that generally use low-side battery switches to meet the requirements of single-cell and dual-cell lithium-ion batteries. For applications requiring high-end connectivity, Diodes also introduced the DMP2100UCB9, which provides dual P-channel common-source MOSFET designs.

With this feature, this new generation of bidirectional MOSFETs , combined with a footprint of just 1.8mm x 1.8mm and a thickness of less than 0.4mm, is ideal for small form factor battery management, load switching and battery protection applications. Other features include a gate threshold voltage of less than 1V, which helps improve overall channel performance at low voltages and prevents gate protection from electrostatic discharge voltages exceeding 2kV.
