Whole blood is divided into non-coagulation and anticoagulation according to the conditions of collection. The upper yellow liquid that is not separated by anticoagulation is called serum; the upper yellow liquid separated by anticoagulation is called plasma.

1 Not anticoagulation to collect serum: The collected whole blood will be allowed to stand for 1 to 2 hours, and the serum will be separated by direct centrifugation for use or storage.

2 Anticoagulant collection of plasma: Collect anticoagulated whole blood, gently invert and fully anticoagulation, then directly separate the plasma by low-speed centrifugation (also can be left for about half an hour and then centrifuge at low speed to separate plasma) for use or preservation. The elisa kit selects the appropriate anticoagulant based on the performance characteristics of the different anticoagulants. Common anticoagulants used in laboratories are various salts of heparin, EDTA and sodium citrate. Biochemical experiments generally recommend anticoagulation with heparin.

Select the point of attention for anticoagulation:

1 The amount of anticoagulant added to each sample should be the same, and the amount of whole blood taken should be as consistent as possible;

2 After collecting anticoagulated whole blood, it must be gently inverted, fully anticoagulated, to prevent some blood from coming into contact with the anticoagulant and causing coagulation;

3 anti-coagulated whole blood collected more plasma (1ml anticoagulated whole blood can separate 0.4 ~ 0.5ml plasma);

After cryopreservation of the anticoagulated plasma of the 4elisa kit, flocculation may occur during thawing, and if necessary, it may be centrifuged to remove turbidity and then used for measurement.
