The RCD (Remote Communication Device) can access the Internet through a router. Importantly, no fixed IP address is required, as the communication is facilitated via a middle cloud server. This setup allows for easy docking at both ends, making it very user-friendly. To configure the system, you only need to input the MAC addresses of the routers connected to both ends of the module and the MAC addresses of the connected PLCs. There's no need to set up connections through PPI or MPI ports, which simplifies the process significantly. It’s important to note that the cloud.RCD IP address functions similarly to the remote PLC's IP address. Therefore, when using host computer software such as WinCC, Kingview, ForceControl, Kepware OPC, STEP7, TIA Portal, STEP7 MicroWin, or MicroWin Smart, you should enter the default RCD IP address, 192.168.1.50, for communication. To view or modify settings, simply type 192.168.1.222 into the browser's address bar.
