According to statistics released by the customs recently, from January to December 2007, China’s exports of lighting electrical products reached 12.493 billion US dollars, accounting for 4.62% of light industrial products exports, up 25.25% year-on-year; electric light source products were exported from January to December. 3.877 billion US dollars, accounting for 31.03% of the total exports of lighting electrical products, an increase of 35.83%.
From January to December, the cumulative import volume of China's lighting electrical products was 1.783 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.92%. The electric light source products imported 1.523 billion US dollars from January to December, accounting for 85.42% of the total imports of lighting electrical products, an increase of 1.89.
From January to December, the cumulative increase in the export volume of lighting appliances was 40.77% for fluorescent lamps, 43.50% for electric light source parts, and 87.28% for Other electric light sources. Products with higher import growth: tungsten halogen lamps increased by 32.33%, lighting fixtures increased by 32.32%, and incandescent bulbs increased by 29.99%. The cumulative declines were: electronic ballasts (down 41.29%), fluorescent lamps (down 17.60%), metal halide lamps (down 11.21%) and electric light source parts (down 2.06%).
According to statistics from relevant departments, in 2007, China's lighting appliance manufacturing enterprises completed a total industrial output value of 158.031 billion yuan, an increase of 31.25%; the sales rate from January to December was 97.31%.
The industrial sales output value totaled 153.776 billion yuan, an increase of 29.86% year-on-year; of which the export delivery value was 73.038 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.92%, and exports accounted for 47.50% of sales. The total output of light industry in the light industry from January to December was 14.914 billion, an increase of 10.24% over the same period of last year. From January to December, the number of lamps and lighting fixtures was 1,571,402,188 sets (sets, ones), an increase of 14.50% over the same period of last year.
