First, the advantages of O LED

1, the thickness can be less than 1 mm, only 1/3 of the LCD screen, and the weight is also lighter;

2, solid state mechanism, no liquid material, so the seismic performance is better, not afraid of falling;

3, there is almost no problem of viewing angle, even if viewed under a large viewing angle, the picture is still not distorted;

5, low temperature characteristics, can still display normally at minus 40 degrees, and LCD can not do;

6. The manufacturing process is simple and the cost is lower;

7, the luminous efficiency is higher, the energy consumption is lower than the LCD;

8. It can be fabricated on substrates of different materials and can be made into a flexible display that can be bent.

Second, the shortcomings of OLED

1, the life is usually only 5,000 hours, less than the life of the LCD at least 10,000 hours;

2, can not achieve mass production of large-size screen, so currently only applicable to portable digital products;

3, there is a problem of insufficient color purity, it is not easy to display bright, rich colors.

Modifications to the second: The life of the current OLED has been far more than 5,000 hours, and has produced a larger size OLED panel, the color is very bright.

Red light efficiency reaches 11cd/A, life expectancy is up to 160,000 hours; green light efficiency reaches 30cd/A, life expectancy is 60,000 hours; high efficiency, long-life blue light material BD-2 (0.13, 0.22) under development, efficiency It is 8.7 cd/A and has a life of 23,000 hours.

The efficiency of the phosphorescent material reached 30 cd/A, and the lifetime reached 100,000 hours at an initial luminance of 200 cd/m^2.

In general, the luminous efficiency and luminescence lifetime of OLED red, green and blue materials basically meet the practical needs.

From the above data, the current OLED has at least 20,000 hours of operation at 500 cd/m^2.
