Structure and principle

(1) pontoon baffle

structure:

Upper part - sealed hollow float

Lower part - metal baffle

Mercury joint (rotatable around the axis)

principle:

a, normal operation:

Float float

The baffle is lowered (gravity action) → the mercury joint is disconnected

b, minor failure: (light gas)

Gas rise

Oil leakage layer → oil surface down → pontoon down → mercury joint action, signal

c, serious failure: (heavy gas)

Oil flow, air flow → impact baffle → mercury contact action → DL trip, and signal

Venting valve function:

a, initial operation or oil change → oil gas may cause light gas malfunction

The top bleed valve of the relay can be opened and deflated

b. After the fault occurs, the gas can be collected through the bleed valve to analyze its composition for fault analysis.

Features: The pontoon will immerse in oil in the oil for a long time, and the mercury joint is poor in shock resistance.
