International Rectifier (IR) introduces the compact three-phase 600V IC IRS2334SPbF and IRS2334MPbF for inverter motor drives in energy-efficient home appliances and industrial applications.

The IRS2334SPbF is available in a SOIC20WB package, while the IRS2334MPbF is available in a QFN5X5 package with a footprint of only 25 mm2 and is designed for proper creepage and clearance distances to ensure robust and reliable voltages up to 600V.

The IRS2334x family offers comprehensive protection, including proprietary negative voltage spike (Vs) immunity to ensure safe operation under extreme switching conditions and short circuits. These output drivers feature a high pulse current buffer stage for the minimum driver transconductance; paired propagation delays simplify high frequency applications. In addition, the floating channel can drive N-channel power MOSFETs or IGBTs in a high-side configuration.
These new ICs feature IR's advanced high voltage IC (HVIC) process, a new generation of high voltage level shifting and termination technology to provide superior electrical overstress protection and increased field reliability. The IRS2334x also includes undervoltage lockout protection, integrated dead time protection, and breakdown protection. The new device also features advanced input filters and low di/dt gate drivers to help increase noise immunity. The output and input of the new series are in phase and are compatible with 3.3V input logic.
