Turck adds new features to RI inductive angle sensors

Turck's RI angle sensor can be set on site according to application requirements

Turck has added a new feature to the RI inductive angle sensor. From now on, the user can set the RI sensor directly on the device. Not only can the range of rotation angles be set, but the start and end points can be set directly on the sensor as required. In addition, the direction of rotation can also be selected according to requirements. The sensor is specially developed for mobile devices and is e1 certified. On the RI sensor, the angular position is not measured by a magnetic positioning element, but by the RLC circuit. This allows the sensor to withstand magnetic field disturbances, such as in high-power motor environments.

The RI sensor has a measurement range of 360° and an accuracy of 0.15% of full scale. The separate design of the sensor body and the positioning disc plus a positional tolerance of ±4 mm ensure ease of installation and safe operation of the sensor. The positioning disc can be mounted on a solid or hollow shaft as required. The non-contact working principle reliably compensates for bearing eccentricity errors due to vibration and other factors, while also ensuring high linearity. The sensor is also suitable for different output requirements: 0...10 V, 4...20 mA, 0.5...4.5 V and SSI interface form.
