Kyma launches 10-inch AlN-on-sapphire substrate

Recently, Kyma Technologies announced the production of a 10 inch diameter sapphire aluminum nitride (AlN-on-sapphire) substrate. The sapphire aluminum nitride substrate uses patented PVDNC technology to increase the yield, performance and cost of blue, green and white LEDs, replacing planar sapphire and graphic sapphire substrates. Kyma currently only offers display samples.

The company is a supplier of gallium nitride (GaN), aluminum nitride (AlN), aluminum gallium nitride (AlGaN) materials and offers a range of related products and services.
