Belden Inc., a global leader in mission-critical application signaling solutions, has introduced a new product, the LioN-Link EtherNet/IP bus coupler, to the sub-brand Lumberg AutomaTIon fieldbus system. The interface between the bus coupler and the industrial network using the EtherNet/IP protocol is flexible, making updates easier.
The single I/O module supports multiple field wiring designs, numerous configuration options, and remote connectivity. Unique, standardized wiring components also provide unprecedented flexibility for the most demanding industrial applications.
“With the growing popularity of EtherNet/IP, network engineers, system integrators, and machine builders will find our bus couplers a popular newcomer in the field,†said Tol Hauert, product manager at Belden. “The interface options are flexible and do not require special cables or connectors, making installation as easy as connecting a new bus coupler to the network and running it.â€
The LioN-Link system provides simplified connectivity options between the entire fieldbus system and the fieldbus system's stand-alone I/O modules, both of which are lightweight and take up minimal space. The software is integrated into each bus coupler to enable communication with the web server and access to real-time data, and to diagnose throughout the manufacturing process.
Each bus coupler is connected to up to 30 I/O modules distributed over two lines with up to 15 devices per line. These lines can be extended up to 100 meters, which is twice the distance of any other product on the market.
“Today's manufacturers want to have a variety of affordable configuration options to integrate their existing EtherNet/IP networks,†adds Haurert. “The Lumberg AutomaTIon Bus Coupler provides a simple and easy-to-use solution that makes it easy to identify any problems at the manufacturing site and correct them in real time through the real-time robust data provided by the solution.â€
In this increasingly interoperable world, visibility is critical for operators because they face growing demand for data reception, analysis and sharing. Belden's industrial connectivity solutions are designed to meet these needs. With the increase in networked machines, the surge in data volumes, and the high efficiency of work requirements, customers in challenging environments can build a complete communications infrastructure with Belden Cable, Rhombus Automation and Hirschmann Industrial Connectors. Belden's custom systems offer powerful performance and reliability for a wide range of industrial automation applications.
UCOAX manufactures a wide spectrum of wire and cable assemblies, each custom-designed for each individual client. Coaxial cable, at the industrial level, is used for instrumentation, control, RF, and microwave applications. It is also commonly used to connect home video equipment and cable television. These cable assemblies are available both rigid and flexible options, and consist of four layers: a round conducting wire, insulating spacer, cylindrical conducting sheath, and a final insulating layer. For any cable fabrication needs, contact UCOAX.
